1. Upward L

Stroke L jab shuru aur end mai payi jaati hai toh ise upward ki taraf hi leekha jaata hai.

ਸਟ੍ਰੋਕ L ਭਾਵੇਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਜਾਂ ਅੰਤਿਮ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਆਮ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਵੱਲ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।

2. L preceding or Following Curve and Circle

When L immediately precedes or follows a circle which is attached to a curve it is written in the same direction as the circle

ਜਦੋਂ L ਤੁਰੰਤ ਇੱਕ ਚੱਕਰ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਜਾਂ ਪਿਛਾਂਹ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਕਰਵ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਚੱਕਰ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸੇ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ

3. L after N and NG (N ਅਤੇ NG ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ L)

After the strokes N and Ng final L is written downward so as to avoid a change of motion as

4. L and Vowel Indication.

For the purpose of Vowel Indication initial L is written downward when preceded by a vowel and followed immediately by a horizontal not hooked or circled initially 


ਸਵਰ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਦੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਲਈ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤੀ L ਨੂੰ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਸਵਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦੇ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਬਾਅਦ ਇੱਕ ਹਰੀਜੱਟਲ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੂਕ ਜਾਂ ਚੱਕਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Agar L se pehle vowel aa jaye toh L downward hi padege aur agar L ke baad vowel aa jaye toh L upward padega.



5. Also for the purpose of Vowel Indication Final L is written upward after F, V , Sk or a straight upstroke when a vowel follows L and downward when no vowel follows L and Downward When no vowel follows L thus

6. Medial L

Medial L is generally written upward but either form is used for an easier joining

ਮੱਧਮ L ਆਮ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਵੱਲ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਰੂਪ ਨੂੰ ਆਸਾਨ ਜੋੜਨ ਲਈ ਵਰਤਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ

7. Upward and Downward Sh 

The Curve Sh, Joined to another curve generally follows the motion of that curve;

But it is written downward after the curve N thus gnash . 

When joined to a straight stroke Sh is generally written downward; thus

But it is written upward after the heavy stroke D as in    Dash.

8. After a Straight down stroke with an initial attachment, Sh is generally written on the opposite side  to such attachment thus
