1914 mai Mr. Swem ko American President Woodrow wilson ka official reporter bana diya geya tha. Mr. Swem us time sirf 20 years ke they jab unko White House se Offcial Reporter ka appointment letter mila. Swem ne President Woodrow ke saath 8 years as a Reporter & Personal Secretary kaam kiya. 

Mr. Swem ne 1924 mai phir se New York, Supreme Court Stenographer ka competition won kiya. Jisme 150 candidates they aur isme Mr. Swem ne first position hasil ki thi.
